A movie I went to without Z and E (a rare occasion). I was definitely more excited and intrigued by the unique story while Z and E were skeptical. Sadly, I am going to tip my hat to them. The movie was a bit slow and had a few issues with what it was going for. I will also be honest, I think this would hit a lot better if I was a female, specifically if I have had a kid. The theme was on the nose and not in a bad way, and gave a unique take on the struggles of mothers. It helped me look at a lot of things through a new lens and hit it well. The part I was most excited about was the dog portion, and for me it became very weird and not in a good way. I was hoping for more ‘A24’ vibes and it just didn’t hit. A movie that I think anyone could enjoy, but I was sadly not extremely impressed!
